Recovery enquiries for the M60, M62, M56 and surrounding Manchester motorway network.

Manchester motorway breakdown enquiries
The M60, M62 and M56 connect many journeys around Greater Manchester, but a breakdown on a motorway needs a different response from a car that will not start on a driveway. Put your immediate safety first and follow the official Highway Code breakdown guidance for your location. When it is safe to contact a recovery operator, Trafford Car Recovery can discuss the vehicle, the recovery required and an agreed destination.
Give a precise location when it is safe
Tell us the motorway, direction of travel and nearest junction or location information already available to you. Explain whether you are at a service area, on an exit slip road, in an emergency area or elsewhere. Do not walk along a motorway looking for a marker to give us a better address.
Let us know if National Highways, the police or another recovery organisation is already involved. Their instructions and any recovery they are arranging need to be understood before a separate booking is made. A normal online enquiry should never take priority over getting emergency assistance.
Plan what happens after the vehicle is recovered
Once the immediate situation is managed, explain whether you need the car taken home, to a garage or to another agreed location. Check that the destination can receive it. Include the registration, vehicle type, fault or damage, and anything that prevents it rolling or steering.
We discuss availability and a quotation for the actual job rather than promise a fixed motorway response time. You can also read our motorway breakdown guide, which puts official safety advice before the recovery arrangements.
