Agree the destination before the truck sets off

A garage may be the right destination for a broken-down car, but a recovery booking does not reserve a workshop slot. Speak to the receiving garage first. Explain the fault, whether the car can roll and whether you need diagnosis, repair or an MOT-related inspection.

Confirm the delivery entrance, who will receive the keys, and what happens if the vehicle arrives outside the agreed time. Ask about charges for inspection or keeping the vehicle on site. Include those details when arranging the recovery.
